Mukut Mani Adhikari’s nomination paper rejected, Ranaghat BJP new  candidate Jagannath Sarkar

The scrutiny was on Wednesday. So all hope for Adhikary got shattered.

Narayan Chandra Das, Returning Officer of Ranaghat Lok Sabha Seat said,” The nomination of Mukut Moni Adhikary was cancelled during scrutiny.”

Nadia South President of BJP Jagannath Sarkar said,” As his papers did not come within scheduled time on Wednesday, his nomination was cancelled during scrutiny and mine was accepted. Now I am the BJP Candidate for Ranaghat Lok Sabha Seat.”

He added that he would work keeping Modi and Mukut Moni ahead.

Jagannath Sarkar said that as the B forms of the rest duo were not filled up, those were automatically cancelled.

However, even after calling a sever times, Adhikary didn’t receive calls. So his comments regarding the issue was not available.

Tarak Sarkar, General Secretary, Nadia South BJP Committee said,” Jagannath Sarkar has been working for BJP since long. He knows each booth workers. He knows the grass of the area well. So the change of candidate, that took place due to unavoidable circumstances, won’t hamper casting of votes in favour of BJP.”

Jagannath Sarkar said,” I am winning.”

So long the walling and campaign at Ranaghat went on for Adhikary.

Now the campaign for BJP ‘s new candidate will start. It is a matter of upset for its workers. Now to look at how far Sarkar can make up the situation, a Ranaghat voter said.
